Hy Tang

Hy Tang

Hy is the Math Department Chair. He has taught at SIL since 2008, and he teaches all levels of math from Pre-Algebra to AP Calculus BC, as well as college-prep Economics.

Education has always been of great importance to Hy and his family. He was a peer tutor in high school and college and enjoys teaching students of all ages. Trust, respect, and support are essential factors in his outlook on education, and he sees building rapport as key to reaching students.

Hy graduated from Millersville University of Pennsylvania with a double major in mathematics and physics and a minor in history.

Hy enjoys spending time at home with his wife and two children. He devotes his remaining free time to leather crafting.
