Jason Pruitt

Jason graduated from Cal Poly SLO with a BS in Physics and a minor in Mathematics. Currently finishing an MS in Physics at San Jose State University, he has research experience in Solid State Physics, High Energy Particle Physics, and Astrophysics.

Before teaching math and physics at SIL, Jason was a peer tutor in college and a TA in graduate school, as well as the curriculum designer and lecturer for a scientific computing workshop for undergraduate research. He firmly believes in fostering environments that allow everyone to learn math and physics and loves showing students where the two overlap. He knows that understanding physics takes time and effort, and he is committed to providing the framework to make the journey both possible and exciting.

Outside of teaching, Jason plays guitar and loves to hunt for the best-tasting coffee.
